Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara play the ultimate odd couple in their new movie Hot Pursuit, and the new besties discovered one big difference between them when it comes to wedding planning.

When Vergara – who’s engaged to Joe Manganiello – revealed that Colombians don’t have bachelorette parties in the new issue of PEOPLE, Witherspoon immediately resolved to ensure her pal got the pre-wedding bash she deserves. “Oh wow. Just wait. I’ll throw you a bachelorette party,” Witherspoon, 39, insisted during the interview.

The actress would simply be returning one of many favors. Vergara introduced her to the wonders of Cuban coffee (“a little teeny, weeny secret weapon”) and Latin dance, after all.

The two actresses have been growing incredibly close over the past few weeks as they promote their new film, jetting around the country to appearances at the MTV Movie Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards, all while posting a steady stream of friendship cute selfies with wild abandon.

As for the big wedding, the Colombian beauty just wants to keep it simple. “I’m trying to make it fun,” Vergara, 42, says. “I don’t want it to be, like, a stressful situation. I just want to enjoy it.” If there’s cake involved, we doubt Vergara will stress too much. “This one eats cake,” Witherspoon says. “I’ve never seen somebody eat so much cake in my entire life.”
