Watch out Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba, there’s a new actor interested in the role of 007 – and she’s no damsel in distress.

Quantico star Priyanka Chopra was asked about playing a future Bond girl in an interview with Complex for the magazine’s latest cover story. “I get that all the time,” she said. “But f— that – I wanna be Bond.”

Fans are already starting to throw their support behind a handful of actors, including Hiddleston and Elba, to pick up Daniel Craig’s mantle – but recently, the idea of giving the part to a woman has been catching steam on social media.

The X-Files star Gillian Anderson received an outpouring of support from Twitter users over the weekend, when a fan-made poster that features her image over the title 007 garnered over 14,000 likes.

“It’s Bond. Jane Bond. Thanks for all the votes! (And sorry, don’t know who made poster but I love it!) #NextBond,” Anderson commented.

Meanwhile, Hiddleston has said “no one” has approached him about the next James Bond film. Elba also commented on the matter, saying, “If it should happen, that’s proof there’s connectivity amongst human beings. If everyone wants something, they can make it happen. That would be true.”

As for Chopra, she’s getting the chance to play the villain before any Bond opportunities arise. She stars as villain Victoria Leeds in the upcoming Baywatch film on on May 19.

“I wanted to play a bad guy for a really long time,” she told EW. “And I’m doing that in Baywatch, so I’m excited.”
