The only thing better than two Pitch Perfect movies is three!

Yes, Pitches, the fan-favorite a cappella film franchise will continue on, and negotiations have already begun with writer Kay Cannon, who penned the first two screenplays, The Hollywood Reporter reports. (Universal has not commented.)

Another high note – Rebel Wilson is already warming up her pipes to reprise her beloved role of Fat Amy in the three-quel. L.A. Times writer Amy Kaufman Tweeted in April that Wilson shared the big news with her.

It remains a mystery whether Elizabeth Banks, who made her directorial debut with Pitch Perfect 2, will return to the director’s chair for the third installment.

The highly anticipated second sequel raked in nearly $70 million during its opening weekend alone.

“None of this was a vanity project. I want to tell stories and have more control of my life,” the star, who also acted in the first two films, told Net-a-Porter’s The Edit last month.

“I made a funny movie – about girls – and it’s going to make money?” she said. “It just doesn’t happen.”

“Directing is a really big decision,” she went on. “Because it’s a year and a half of my life, and it’s taking my kids out of their daily routine.”
