Jack Sparrow is a wanted man.

The highly anticipated first teaser trailer for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales dropped on Sunday – and the latest installment to the franchise looks darker than ever.

In the chill-inducing trailer, a rotting Captain Salazar is on the hunt for Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp).

“Find Sparrow for me and relay a message,” Salazar tells Brenton Thwaites’ character Henry.

And while the teaser trailer promises plenty of both fun and horror-filled moments for loyal fans and newbies alike, it was missing one very important thing – Sparrow himself. The only glimpse of the infamous sea captain is an illustration on a wanted poster.

The sneak peek comes more than a month after Depp, 52, finalized his bitter divorce with Amber Heard. The two reached a $7 million divorce settlement in August after months of accusations from both sides as photos and videos surfaced of their alleged fights.

One photo that surfaced during the bitter divorce battle showed the actor’s severed fingertip following a heated argument with Heard, which allegedly happened in Australia amid Pirates‘ shoot. He reportedly sliced off the tip of his finger when he allegedly smashed several bottles and windows.

The injury caused a disruption in filming, with Depp having to travel back stateside for surgery.

The film sails into theaters May 2017.
