The Holiday Ham Company in Kansas City has a serious claim to fame – one of its former employees was none other than actor Paul Rudd.

It’s true – during an appearance on Live! with Kelly and Michael Wednesday morning, Rudd revealed that the weirdest job he ever had before becoming an award-winning actor was as a ham-glazer.

“I glazed hams for about six months,” he says.

“It was a big process, I would start early in the morning and I would unload a truck that would deliver the hams … I would slice them, cut ’em in half, put ’em on a spit, and there was a propane torch that hung from the ceiling,” he adds, miming the elaborate process.

Well, Rudd has certainly come a long way. His highly anticipated film Ant-Man debuts on July 17 and he just landed his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
