Have you been keeping up with Chyna? The reality star made her very first Academy Awards appearance on Sunday night, and she chose to stun in a floor-length, long-sleeved black velvet dress with a plunging neckline and high slit.

Fans began to wonder why Chyna was attending the event, given that she was not presenting or in any of the nominated films, but the star revealed on Instagram the next morning that she was music producer Christopher Trujillo's plus-one.

"Headed to the Oscars with my Award winning engineer @titojustmusic 🏆 @fashionnovamen ad," the mother of two captioned her post.

Trujillo, better known as Tito JustMusic, has worked with many stars in the music industry. According to his All Music profile, he was a recording engineer for multiple songs on  Ariana Grande's 2016 album Dangerous Woman, as well as albums by Meghan Trainer, Fifth Harmony and Mariah Carey.

Last month, Texas high school student Arnold claimed that he was suspended and told that he would not be able to walk in his high school graduation ceremony unless he cut his dreadlocks.

Arnold said his father is from Trinidad and that many men in his culture grow dreadlocks. "I really like that part of Trinidadian culture; I really embrace that," he told KPRC.

Once Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, co-producers of the Academy Award-nominated short film Hair Love, and Matthew A. Cherry, the film's creator, got wind of the heartbreaking story, they decided to treat Arnold and his mother to an all-expenses-paid trip to the 2020 Oscars.

"We've all been so inspired by your story and this is the very least we can do to thank you for standing up for yourself and for your right to wear your natural hair at school," Cherry told the teen in a clip featured on CBS This Morning.

Now that the big day has come, Wade, Union and Cherry proved to live up to their promise as Arnold made his Oscars red carpet debut looking sharp in a suit and proudly wearing his dreadlocks pulled back in a sleek ponytail.

The Latest Must-Have Oscars Accessory? A Turkey Sandwich

Julia Butters
Credit: Robyn Ross

Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood's Julia Butters was smart to plan ahead and pack a little snack to fuel up for Hollywood's biggest night. The 10-year-old walked the carpet looking amazing in her custom Christian Siriano gown and matching clutch, and told reporters that she packed a turkey sandwich because she doesn't "like some of the food here."

She then took the turkey sammie out and proceeded to take a bite and said, "It's the Oscars, there can't be any regrets. There's no going back."

What. An. Icon.

The iconic film director arrived on the carpet, alongside wife Tonya Lewis Lee, wearing a custom purple Gucci suit to honor Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26. The athlete's 13-year-old daughter Gianna, along with seven other people, also died in the tragic event.

The suit was lined with gold trim and features the number 24  - a nod to the late Los Angeles Lakers player's famed jersey number - on the lapels and the back of the suit.

While chatting with Ryan Seacrest on the E! Red Carpet pre-show, Lee said of his red carpet look, "Tribute, honor, homage. We all miss him."

The actress used her Oscars look to make more than just a fashion statement. Portman wore the names of all of the female directors, including Sofia Coppola and Greta Gerwig, who weren't nominated Sunday night. The names appeared embroidered along the length of her cape.

"I wanted to recognize the women [directors] who were not recognized for their incredible work this year in my subtle way," Portman told L.A. Times' Amy Kaufman.
