4. WHENEVER HE PAYS FOR STRUGGLING DRAMA STUDENTS' RENT
He knows the struggle. “I get letters from people trying to go to drama school and needing to pay their rent,” he tells GQ, noting that he was fortunate enough to live with his parents post-graduation, therefore avoiding the cost of rent. “And so that’s something I occasionally do. It’s impossibly expensive to live in London.”

“I was at the British Soap Awards,” the The Danish Girl star revealed to PEOPLE. “I was [holding] a tray with a load of champagne glasses on it, and this guy put this one glass on top of all the others and the whole tray smashed. That was a low, but it kind of galvanized me. I said, ‘All right, I’m going to become a decent actor so I don’t have to experience this again.'”

ICYMI, much like Jennifer Lawrence, Redmayne is a big fan of reality TV – especially of MTV’s The Hills. “I’m a bit vintage. I go back to The Hills,” he explained to Lawrence in the February issue of Interview. “Occasionally Audrina or Whitney will be on a website that I shouldn’t be looking at, and I’m like, ‘You know, I just want to check that they’re doing all right, because it’s my youth.'”
