The Cast Of My Best Friend's Wedding Reveals What Their Characters Are Doing Today
Cameron Diaz, Rupert Everett, Dermot Mulroney and Julia Roberts reunited for Entertainment Weekly's romantic comedies issue
It’s been nearly 22 years since Julianne tried to win back Michael days before he walked down the aisle. And now the cast of My Best Friend’s Wedding imagines what their characters might be up to today.
“I think George works in a mortician’s office in Fairfax,” Rupert Everett tells PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly editorial director Jess Cagle. “He’s a chief mortician.”

Evertt, 59, and his costars Cameron Diaz, Dermot Mulroney and Julia Roberts reunited for EW‘s romantic comedy issue, and reminisced about having Mulroney’s dog on set, Roberts’ crop tops and singing karaoke in Chicago ahead of filming.

Following her character Kimberly’s horrible triple date at a karaoke bar in the film, Diaz, 46, jokes, “I’ve been completely terrorized and traumatized by karaoke.”
As for what food critic and amateur saboteur Julianne may be up to in 2019, Roberts, 51, suggests she’s “a marriage counselor.”
“Those who can’t, teach,” she says.
