So starting July 30 through August 1, the actress and Broadway veteran, 72, is selling nearly 2,000 items—formerly housed in nine storage spaces on both coasts—belonging to her, her mom Judy Garland and her dad Vincente Minnelli. "She loved revisiting it all and imagined how it would please so many others to have one or two things personally," Minnelli's friend and confidant Michael Feinstein tells PEOPLE. The collection includes everything from her iconic Halston outfits to portraits by Andy Warhol and gifts from Frank Sinatra. "Her career was so big that there's so much," says Joe Maddalena, CEO of Profiles in History auction house.
