Julia Roberts is working a new look.

A new trailer for the upcoming film Mother’s Day was just released, and Roberts has dramatically morphed for her role as a best-selling author.

In the film, Roberts, 48, is seen donning a red wig styled into a sleek bob that falls just above her chin – a dramatic departure from the actress’ typical long brunette locks.

The latest trailer gives a deeper look into the lives of four parents in the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day – especially Roberts’ character, Miranda.

In the clip, Miranda, who proclaims she chose career over family, comes face-to-face with the woman who may just be the daughter she once gave up for adoption. In once scene, she is seen standing in the doorway of the young woman’s house looking nervous as she clutches an orchid she’s brought along.

The star-studded film, which features interlocking storylines centered on the holiday (much like director Gary Marshall’s previous movies Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve), also includes Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis.

The comedy is slated for an April 29 release.
