Just this past month, the former couple have been spotted on numerous outings together
While there are no plans to cancel the split, a source tells PEOPLE they are working on their marriage – and that includes living together.
“Things have not been perfect between Megan and Brian, but they continue to work on their marriage,” a source tells PEOPLE in this week’s issue, adding “as of now, the divorce is still on.”
The actress, 29, is already mom to sons Noah Shannon, 3½, and Bodhi Ransom, 2, with Green, 43. And although Fox filed for divorce in August after five years of marriage and 11 years together, the two have remained close.
Just this past month the former couple have been spotted on numerous outings together with – and without – their children.
“She and Brian were very friendly, seemed happy but were not affectionate,” says an onlooker who saw Fox and Green at a farmers’ market with their boys.
On a separate occasion, an eyewitness tells PEOPLE, “They seemed more like friends than a married couple.”
The New Girl star filed for divorce in August, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. A family source told PEOPLE that they had disagreements over how to balance family life and work.
