Talk about leaping out of the frying pan and into the fire.

After six seasons of battling a smoke monster and gun-totting “Others” on a mysterious island, Lost‘s Daniel Dae Kim is ready to remain on the attack. The actor, 41, has signed on to play a samurai sword-brandishing captive Kendo master in the action thriller Deathgames.

Kim and Twilight star Kellan Lutz will play prisoners of a typically ominous Samuel L. Jackson, who forces the men to take part in modern gladiator games where they fight to the death as entertainment for the public, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Filming begins in Louisiana next month.

But wait, there’s more: Kim also has a small part in Matt Damon‘s The Adjustment Bureau, which will be released this summer.
