The upcoming project will be her first movie in two years following her 2013 flick The Canyons and Lifetime TV movie Liz & Dick.

While many of Lohan’s fans remember her for roles in Mean Girls, Freak Friday and The Parent Trap, in recent years her string of arrests and run-ins with the law have kept her in the spotlight.

The former Disney darling has spent time in jail and rehab, in addition to her eight years in and out of the court room.

In May, she completed her mandatory community service hours stemming from a 2012 reckless driving case.

And most recently, Lohan stirred controversy when she posted a photo of herself dressed as actress Sharon Tate on the birthday of the man who arranged her murder, Charles Manson.
