Lily-Rose Depp lent her model skills to Variety's Sundance Portrait Studio
Lily-Rose Depp made her first Sundance Film Festival one to remember.
Depp, the 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and former partner Vanessa Paradis, made her festival debut on Sunday in Park City, Utah, alongside her Yoga Hosers castmates.
In addition to gracing the red carpet during the Sunday premiere, the teen posed for Variety‘s Sundance Portrait Studio.
Model-turned-actress Depp donned a serious expression in the portraits and posed alongside her castmates – including Harley Quinn Smith, the daughter of director Kevin Smith – on the red carpet.
At a private cast party Sunday evening held at Chase Sapphire on Main, Depp mingled with her cast and filmmakers.
“She was very sweet as she greeted everyone,” says an onlooker. “For most of the night, she stayed in a corner of the party and chatted softly with people, but she seemed really proud to be there. At the end of the night when most of the party cleared out, she relaxed on a sofa with a few friends and even graciously gave up her dessert to a fellow partygoer.”
Her costars Harley Quinn Smith, Justin Long, Austin Butler, Tyler Posey, Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith also attended the intimate bash, while Natasha Lyonne, Chloe Sevigny and Justin Bartha popped in to support their pals.
Depp plays Colleen Collette in the film, a horror-comedy about two yoga enthusiasts who face a monstrous force when their plan to go to a senior party goes awry.
The film marks Depp’s first leading role, and her first time working with her superstar dad, Johnny.
“It was adorable,” he said.
“There’s a scene in an interrogation room between the two of them and they’re actually trying to out act each other and it’s really cute,” Smith said.
“Then Lily busts out some French – because she speaks French really fluently – and just shows him up.”
Smith released the film’s first teaser clip on Saturday, showing Colleen Collette (Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) at work in a convenience store.
