Kristen Stewart has found some truth to the old saying “Another year older, another year wiser.”

The 25-year-old actress opened up in the August issue of Marie Claire about finding inner peace in a world of fame, despite a “feral” few years in her 20s when she was all-consumed in the public eye.

“I’m really proud that I am able to move forward and not fall into every mental crater. That’s a new thing for me,” Stewart revealed in the new issue, out July 21. “Age has made me smarter and calmer. And it is f—ing awesome.”

“Speaking very candidly, it was a really traumatic period in my early 20s that kick-started something in me that was a bit more feral,” the American Ultra star told the magazine.

Stewart is also making things less about apologizing and more about letting them go.

“Lately, I’ve been doing less of the ‘I’m sooooo sorry.’ And more of the ‘No. F—. Jesus,’ ” said the star.

Stewart has been outspoken about her issues with Hollywood culture, calling the fame game “the worst thing in the world” in a recent interview. (The Twilight actress is now three years removed from a cheating scandal that ended her relationship with former costar Robert Pattinson.)

“If you think about the source of it, which is really the big, big, big green monster of cash, there’s just no way that that’s stopping. It’s a new industry – celebrity news is a whole new form of entertainment – and it’s a huge, booming, f—ing moneymaking industry, so why would it stop?”
