Katie Holmes Treats Daughter Suri to a Paris Getaway for Her 13th Birthday
Suri Cruise turned 13 on April 18
After dinner in New York’s Sant Ambroeus restaurant last Thursday evening on Suri’s actual birthday, Holmes, 40, swept the new teenager and two very lucky friends off to Paris.
According to the French tabloid Closer, the following evening the party continued at rooftop restaurant Les Ombres. Arriving at 8 p.m., the 90-minute dinner included a caviar tasting, non-alcoholic mojitos and loads of selfies with the neighboring Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.
Dressed casually in a white blouse and black slacks, the actress sipped on a glass of white wine while the girls — wearing matching floral party dresses — took several tours between courses out onto the rooftop terrace.
And because it was a celebration, there was an appropriate dessert — a warm caramel fondant served with one birthday candle.
Suri, the magazine reports, wasn’t the only one getting a gift. After an hour and a half, the party left their waitress a $100 tip.
Last week, Holmes and her daughter enjoyed a special, low-key dinner in New York City. The mother and daughter stepped out in coats and were joined two of Suri’s friends.

In March, the two paid a visit to the Moria refugee camp in Lesbos, Greece, with the organization Artolution.
Holmes shared a black and white photo of Suri laughing and smiling while playing with a young child.
“Wonderful to spend time with such beautiful souls,” Holmes captioned the post.
