The temperature might be dropping outside, but Kate Mara and Jamie Bell are just starting to heat things up!

Mara and Bell, whom PEOPLE confirms have been dating since earlier this fall, were spotted taking a romantic stroll through New York City on Thursday, stopping along the way for a few PDA-filled moments. The pair were seen embracing passionately while waiting to cross the street.

The duo kept warm on their walk in coordinating black and grey outfits. The House of Cards actress, 32, wore a green beanie and black skinny jeans as she cozied up to Bell, adding a bit of edge to her outfit with a black leather jacket.

Bell, 29, kept his look casual in black jeans and a grey sweater.

And while neither Mara nor Bell have publicly commented on their relationship, the pair have been showing plenty of PDA over the past few months.

Speculation about their relationship status first arose when the two appeared at this year’s Met Gala together and were spotted holding hands on the red carpet.

The two posed for a cuddly photo with friends in Malibu in September, and were seen walking arm-in-arm down the beach together later that same week.

“They 100% looked like they were a couple,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. “They had their arms around one another the whole time and they looked totally in love.

“They were holding each other the whole time,” the onlooker continued. “They didn’t let go. They were hugging and walking with their arms around each other and were totally focused on one another. They were walking the dog, but even when the dog was running off they were still focused on each other.”

Mara and Bell worked together on the Fantastic Four earlier this year, and the film’s screenwriter, Simon Kinberg, told PEOPLE that the cast was like a family, and compared the chemistry on set to that of Brad and Angelina Jolie Pitt.

“I think it’s hard to fake chemistry,” Kinberg said. “It goes back for me to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which is the first film I ever worked on and it was like these two people are meeting for the first time and if you connect with somebody, you connect with them.”
