Entertainment Movies Kate Hudson Gets a Huge Kick Out of Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell's Tech Antics: 'I Think My Mom's Instagram Posts Are Totally Crazy' Kate Hudson joked that someone "needs to monitor my mother's Instagram account" By Jodi Guglielmi Jodi Guglielmi Instagram Twitter Writer-Reporter, PEOPLE People Editorial Guidelines Published on April 27, 2016 11:55 AM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Jeff Vespa/Getty Images for Fabletics Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are hip with technology – even if their kids wish they weren’t. Kate Hudson stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night, where she discussed her famous parents’ love for social media and texting. The actress fondly revealed that she’s especially embarrassed by Hawn’s Instagram account. “I think my mom’s Instagram posts are totally crazy – in the best way,” she said. After Hudson, 37, and Kimmel watched a particularly comical Instagram video of Hawn drinking, and then spitting out water, the actress couldn’t contain her laughter. “Yeah, that’s mom,” she offered as an explanation. “I don’t know what’s going on. Sometimes I feel like commenting to Kevin [Systrom] at Instagram, who owns Instagram, that he needs to take down her Instagram account. He needs to monitor my mother’s Instagram account.” And while Russell might “hate” social media, he is a big fan of texting – especially when he gets to use an emoji. “He loves to text, like really loves to text,” said Hudson. “He’s a great emoji user. He loves [the app] bitmoji.” But sometimes picking out the perfect emoji slows down Russell’s response time. “It takes an hour,” laughed Hudson. “He’s on a group text with everyone from the Hateful Eight, they still communicate a lot, and I’ll be watching him for hours and then I’m like, ‘God you guys are really in it,’ and he’s like, ‘I’m just trying to figure out my text.’ And I’m like, ‘Wait you’ve been working on one text?’ ” Looks like even famous parents aren’t immune to leaving their adoring kids embarrassed.
