Amal Clooney just added another big name celebrity to her list of admirers.

Julia Roberts, a longtime friend of Clooney’s husband, told Extra on Thursday about her first time meeting the barrister.

“We went out to dinner,” the 47-year-old actress said, most likely referencing an outing in which the three were spotted dining together at Claudette in New York City on April 20th.

When asked if George Clooney‘s new wife got her official seal of approval, Roberts smiled and said, “Oh yes, George doesn’t need my approval, but I am quite enamored of her.”

At the time, Roberts and Clooney were in N.Y.C. filming their new movie Money Monster.

“It was amazing,” the actress told Extra of working on the film. “Jodie Foster was our director … George and I were pinching each other just thinking ‘How did we end up with this brainiac girl?’ It was awesome.”

Roberts made her 26th and final appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday, leaving the host with a big kiss goodbye.

“I’m just glad I got out of that building without weeping like a child,” she said of missing Letterman.

“He’s a beautiful person and he’ll still be a beautiful person, we just won’t see him every night.”
