Jonah Hill is a fearless actor – but even he lost it when pal Leonardo DiCaprio pranked him recently
Jonah Hill is a fearless actor. But when it comes to being on the other end of a prank? Even he gets scared!
On Monday, a newsboy cap-clad DiCaprio played the part of a crazed fan while meeting up with Hill in New York City’s West Village.
The hilarious moment was caught on camera – Hill hanging outside of a restaurant and DiCaprio, 41, storming up to the actor like with his cell phone raised like he was an amateur paparazzi.
“It’s such an insane story,” Hill told ET on the red carpet of the premiere of his new film War Dogs on Wednesday night. “It was just funny – I was totally taken off-guard!”
Hill’s genuinely terrified face can be seen in the shot of the prank. Afterwards, the two buds hugged and laughed off the joke.

Both DiCaprio and Hill have been known to participate in a joke or two, often at the other’s expense. At this year’s Golden Globes, Hill poked fun at DiCaprio’s furry costar in The Revenant, dressing up as a bear while onstage at the awards ceremony.
War Dogs hits theaters Aug. 19.
