Going on location for the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie has become somethingof a pain for Johnny Depp.

The star, 51, injured his hand while in Australia to shoot Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, The Wrap reports.

Depp wasn’t working at the time of his injury, but his condition was apparently serious enough to require a trip back to the U.S. for surgery, an insider tells the industry website.

Production will be “minimally impacted” without Capt. Jack Sparrow for a few weeks, according to Variety.

Filming on the fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series started only last month. Besides Depp, it also stars Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, for a July 7, 2017, release.

Last month, Depp and Amber Heard got married in Los Angeles and held a second wedding celebration at his private island in the Bahamas.
