Pee-wee’s new adventure just landed a big star.

Joe Manganiello has officially joined the cast for Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, and has already started filming his scenes, according to Deadline.

“Paul Reubens is one of the great comic geniuses of our time,” the Magic Mike XXL hunk told the website of the man behind the bow-tie.

“Growing up, my Saturday mornings were all about Pee-wee Herman,” Manganiello added. “I saw everything he did. I can’t believe that I’m going to get to share scenes with one of the iconic figures of my childhood.”

And the admiration is mutual.

“Joe’s already my friend – and he s tremendously talented and a terrific person,” said Reubens, 62, while in character as Pee-wee.

“I am so glad we are finally going to get to work together,” he said, joking, “This totally makes up for being cut out of Magic Mike and Magic Mike 2!”

Judd Apatow is producing the movie, which will premiere on Netflix and is described as “an epic story of friendship and destiny.”
