And the Oscar for next host goes to … Jimmy Kimmel!

The Jimmy Kimmel Live! star will reportedly emcee the 89th Academy Awards ceremony.

Kimmel confirmed the news on Twitter, ensuring fans that the news was not an elaborate gag.

“Yes, I am hosting the Oscars. This is not a prank,” he wrote. “And if it is, my revenge on @TheAcademy will be terrible & sweet.”

While this will be his first time hosting the Oscars, Kimmel has hosted several major awards shows in the past — including this year’s Emmy Awards.

He previously hosted the Emmy’s in 2012 and has served as the American Music Awards emcee five times.

The 89th annual Academy Awards will broadcast live on ABC on Feb. 26, 2017.
