Good afternoon, good evening and good tip!

Jim Carrey left a huge tip for a New York City waitress over the weekend, a source tells PEOPLE.

The actor was dining at Chester in the city’s Meatpacking District with a group of friends, and reportedly left $225 on a $151 bill.

The source added that the actor was at the restaurant earlier this week and spent time in the Biergarten with friends. A source told Page Six that Carrey, 54, ate lemon chicken and a quinoa dish, paired with pinot noir and sparkling water.

“Everyone seemed to be in a good mood,” the source noted.

WATCH: That’s Not Jim Carrey!

Carrey is just the latest star to flex their generosity. Last month, Amy Schumer gave bartenders at Broadway hit Hamilton$1,000 on a $77 check.

Of the hearty tip, one of the bartenders said at the time, “Everyone knows that she’s hysterical and smart, but she’s incredibly generous.”

Humor and kindness apparently go hand-in-hand!
