Chivalry was alive and well on the Great Wall of China for Jennifer Lawrence.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 star wasn’t about to lug her purse all the way up the ancient wonder of the world by herself, and luckily her strapping Aussie costar was there to do the heavy lifting.

“Jen didn’t want to carry her handbag anymore, which is like Jen, so I carried her handbag,” Liam Hemsworth confessed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

The moment was captured in an epic picture, showing Hemsworth standing on the wall with a panda hat on his head and a designer purse slung over his shoulder.

Hemsworth said he bought the panda hat to keep warm (his costar Josh Hutcherson snagged one too). As for the Valentino bag, he said, “I figured it added to the whole picture of the Great Wall.”

Unfortunately, the combination of the cold, the smog and possibly his extra accessory made his experience at the wall not so great. “A lot of hard work was put into that wall and I respect it, but we couldn’t see very far because of the smog so we could have been on any small brick-like bridge,” he joked.

But with the Hunger Games franchise at an end, Hemsworth said it will be group trips like this he’ll miss the most. “We’re just sad not to tour the world together,” he explained. “That’s one of the funnest parts.”

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 hits theaters in your district Nov. 20.
