Actress Jennifer Garner decked that her halls have been decked since Nov. 1

Jennifer Garner has taken a stance on what can be a controversial topic this time of year: When is it appropriate to kick off the holiday season?

The actress, 45, shared an endearing meme of herself on Thursday declaring that the Most Wonderful Time of the Year began for her the day after Halloween.

“#bringonchristmas #ideckmyhallsNov1 #hohoho,” she captioned the seemingly self-made meme, featuring the Miracles from Heaven star posing in a Santa hat next to a tree wrapped in colorful Christmas lights.

Garner received an overwhelming amount of support in the comments section. One international follower pointed out, “In Canada we had Thanksgiving in October, so this is a non issue. We start around November 12 each year. After our Remembrance Day or your Veteran’s Day. We already have one tree up and a Christmas village.”

Last year, the mom of Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8 and Samuel, 5, spent the December holiday with all of her loved ones.

“Family all being together [makes me happiest],” she told PEOPLE in 2016. “My sisters and nieces and nephews and parents will all be together for a week at Christmas.”

While the West Virginia native is already rockin’ around the Christmas tree, her estranged husband Ben Affleck remains focused on Thanksgiving, which the exes will spend with his brother Casey at pal Matt Damon‘s house.

“My mom’s coming out, and I think my brother will come over,” Affleck, 45, told E! News Monday. “We’ll go down the street and see Matt’s family. Thanksgiving’s a nice holiday.”
