The actress spent the weekend with her family in Santa Barbara, a source tells PEOPLE.
“Jenna is fine,” says the source. “She seems relieved that they announced the separation. She is continuing with her life as usual.”
Since jointly announcing their plan to separate on April 2, Dewan has been spotted attending workout classes and returning to work on her upcoming project Mixtape.

On Saturday, the actress was spotted out in Los Angeles without her wedding ring.
A second source tells PEOPLE the former couple’s hectic work schedules contributed to their decision to separate.
“There was no other person, it was just a series of issues and fights resulting from both having busy careers in different locations and a child at home,” says the source. “It happens to the best marriages.”

Moving forward, Tatum and Dewan plan to focus on raising their 4-year-old daughter Everly.
“They will do what is needed to be good parents,” adds the source.
The actors, both 37, announced the split in a joint statement exclusive to PEOPLE. “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple.” They added, “There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
