Friends to the End! Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox's Enduring Friendship in Photos
Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston's friendship kicked off in the '90s when they worked on Friends, which saw the actresses take on polar opposite, yet equally lovable, roles.
BACK IN BLACK
Proof Aniston and Cox were meant to be BFFs: "They wanted Court to play Rachel [Green]. Unbeknownst to each other, I wanted to play Rachel and she wanted to play Monica [Geller]," the Cake star told Collider in 2015. "It worked out perfectly."
KEEPING IT CHILL
"[Courteney] is really normal," Ed Sheeran said of the actress-director. "She's from Alabama, so it's bred into her, but everyone she surrounds herself with is the same." He continued: "Jennifer Aniston's just as friendly. I'd only ever experienced the darker side of Hollywood and they give you faith in everything."
"There's absolutely no judgment in Court," Aniston told More of her friend in 2014. "You'll never feel scolded. She's extremely fair, ridiculously loyal and fiercely loving."

Aniston and Cox took their friendship off-screen at the 8th Annual Fire & Ice Ball, which benefitted the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program, in 1997.
A STRONG CONNECTION
They've always been each other's shoulder to lean on. "It's funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer [who] has gone through it," Cox told Access Hollywood of her separation from ex-husband David Arquette. "I don't know what's going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don't know what's going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure."
"We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and it's great," Cox told TV Week of the pair's dynamic.
The longstanding best friends had a moment at the 6th Annual Platinum Circle Awards in 2006.
WHAT AN HONOR
"The last guest to leave was Courteney," an observer told PEOPLE of Aniston's maid of honor at the actress's 2015 wedding to Justin Theroux. "She left right after Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Kimmel. She left around 3 a.m."
Since the Friends series finale in 2004, Aniston has shown support for her famous BFF by guest starring on Cox's shows, including Dirt and Cougar Town.
HOLDING ON TIGHT
"I've slept in her guest bedroom a lot," Aniston admitted in a 2014 More interview. "Without giving away too much of my private stuff, all I can say is she's been there for me through thick and thin."
"She's the greatest BFF," Cox said about Aniston in an interview with Yahoo in 2015.
HAPPY TO BE HERE
They'll always be there for one another — especially when it comes to showing various projects some love. Aniston gave Cox's directorial debut, Just Before I Go, an enthusiastic two thumbs up at a 2015 screening.
Since announcing her 2018 separation from Justin Theroux after two and a half years of marriage and seven years as a couple, Aniston has kept a low profile and mostly spent time with her closest friends, including Cox. "Her friends always invite her out and to parties," a source told PEOPLE. "Jen has a very caring group of friends that take care of her."
