Jared Leto's Latest Joker Photo Is Downright Shocking

Director David Ayer shared a pic Friday of Leto in character for his Suicide Squad character

This is the stuff of nightmares.

First Jared Leto cut off his long locks.

Then his bleach-blond buzz cut was dyed green for his role as The Joker in Suicide Squad.

But on Friday the film’s director, David Ayer, shared a pic of the Oscar winner in character and it sort of scared us.

The blackened teeth. The maniac expression. The “Damaged” tattoo on his forehead. All those other crazy tatts.

Oh, Jordan Catalano, we miss you more than ever!

Ayer shared the pic in honor of the 75th anniversary of The Joker’s appearance in the Batman comics.

In an interview with Billboard in February, Leto, 43, explained that he took the role because was drawn to the “Shakespearean” aspects of comic books. “[He’s] this beautiful disaster of a character – what a big challenge.”

Suicide Squad is due out in 2016.
