No, this definitely isn’t the Joker you remember from The Dark Knight.

A newly released photo shows actor Jared Leto‘s complete and shocking transformation into the tatted-up villain for the 2016 action flick Suicide Squad.

While fans have already gotten a glimpse at Leto’s neon-green hair and pasty skin, the actor’s Empire magazine cover prominently displays the character’s intense ink.

Leto’s chiseled stomach is covered with tattoos that include everything from a menacing grin, what appears to be his name in block letters and a jester’s cap. The actor wears a shiny purple, reptile-skin overcoat and loose, low-slung pants. His eyes are heavily lined with dark black makeup and his lips blood red.

“Say hello to the bad guy. It’s @JaredLeto’s Joker; our new Suicide Squad issue cover star,” the magazine Tweeted on Monday.

The DC Comics movie, which hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016, centers on a band of rebellious villains who accept a secret (and likely ill-fated) government mission. Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis also star.
