It’s official now.

Author E L James has confirmed previous reports that Jamie Dornan is set to play Christian Grey in the film adaptation of her erotic best-selling book Fifty Shades of Grey.

The author Tweeted her excitement Thursday, writing: “Stow your twitchy palms ladies our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1.”

Dornan, 31, steps in for Charlie Hunnam, who backed out of the sexy, bondage-filled film on Oct. 12. The buff Dornan, a former Calvin Klein model and Once Upon A Time actor, is married – sorry, ladies – to the ex-wife of another screen hunk, Colin Farrell.

The Irishman has been linked romantically to a host of other famous beauties, including Keira Knightley, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

He also appeared in the 2006 Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette.
