There is something so comfortingly familiar and funny yet poignantly sad about watching this video.
The two-minute video, titled “Never Had a Friend Like Him,” features Costa doing quick takes of Williams in more than a dozen roles including Mork & Mindy, The Fisher King, Good Morning Vietnam, Flubber, Jack, Hook, Popeye, Jumanji, Night at the Museum, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets Society, Aladdin and Mrs. Doubtfire.
And the South Carolina native hasn’t just nailed Williams’ voice, he’s got his mannerisms and quick, jerky movements down. It doesn’t hurt that Costa – who captioned the video, “My tribute to the man whose spark ignited my passion” – also looks like a younger version of the late actor, who committed suicide in August at the age of 63.
Costa told PEOPLE last month that he’d held off posting his impressions of Williams after the Oscar winner’s death, but decided to resume making the videos as a “personal tribute” to the beloved star.
Williams isn’t the only star that Costa does impressions of, his Vine account features him impersonating Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate, Jack Nicholson, Matthew McConaughey, Owen Wilson, Michael Caine, Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump talking about Zayn Malik from One Direction, and even former President George Bush.
