The actress is in talks to play Erika Berger in the film adaptation of the popular mystery series

And the casting mystery continues: Robin Wright is negotiating to play opposite Daniel Craig in the upcoming film adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Wright, 44, who is currently filming Moneyball with Brad Pitt, is in talks to play Erika Berger, the editor of leading finance magazine, Millennium – and lover of Craig’s character, Mikael Blomkvist, reports

The film, which is based off the novel by Stieg Larsson, is still in need of a leading lady to play Lisbeth Salander, the socially awkward computer hacker with piercings and a photographic memory. Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska and Rooney Mara have been mentioned as possible choices.

Berger’s storyline plays out through the trilogy, and Wright is negotiating a deal that includes options for the other films. Tell us what you think:
