There are many things that Jimmy Fallon can say on television. Apparently, what N.W.A stands for isn’t one of them.
Fortunately, the comedian found a way around the small roadblock when rapper/actor Ice Cube stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday to discuss his new movie “Straight Outta Compton.”
“Some people out there might not know what the letters N.W.A stands for, but we can’t really say what it means on the air,” The 40-year-old host said. “But what we can do is say some of the things that N.W.A doesn’t stand for.”
The pair then launched into a hilarious list of things the acronym doesn’t stand for, including “Nine White Accountants,” Nickelback Was Awesome,” and “No Way, Ashley.”

“N.W.A. does not stand for, and finally, New Wand Abracadabra,” Cube said, closing out the segment.
If you want to know what N.W.A really stands for, well, you’ll just have to look it up.
Ice Cube was promoting the new biopic Straight Outta Compton, which traces the origins of the 90s gangsta rap group co-founded by Cube along with Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince and the late Eazy-E in Compton, California.
The film goes straight into theaters on Aug. 14.
