They barely escaped with their lives the first time around, but the trio of Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis, along with Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx, are back and at it again in the comedic sequel Horrible Bosses 2.
“Me, personally, I think we really have succeeded,” Aniston, who reprises her role as a dirty dentist, tells PEOPLE. “I enjoyed this one tremendously.”
Adds Sudeikis, who likely won’t be showing the raunchy sequel to his nearly 7-month-old son Otis anytime soon: “I think we made this one as good, if not better, than the first one.”
After their plans to murder their Horribles Bosses went awry in the first film, the guys are back and launch a business of their own, only to quickly find themselves in hot water when a slick investor (Christoph Waltz) and his not-so-likeable (although very easy-on-the-eyes) son (Chris Pine) get in their way. Then, true to form, a not-too-very-well-thought-out plan at kidnapping unfolds.
The comedic ensemble admit they had a tough time keeping straight faces on set.
“I’m not very good [at it],” says Day with a laugh. “You get slap-happy,” adds Sudeikis. “Just giddy.”
