Henry Cavill‘s apparent death came as a shock to many — including the actor himself.

Cavill, 34, took to Instagram on Monday to hilariously debunk rumors that he died on Saturday.

“When you learn that you died 2 days ago….” he captioned the photo.

In the post, the Justice League star looks concerned in a selfie next to a Wikipedia biography box that lists the date of his death as March 3, 2018.

Fans quickly shared their relief in the comments section of the actor’s post.

“Superman lives!” said one fan, while another joked, “You look very fresh for a dead man.”

At the time of publication, Cavill’s faux death date was still listed on Wikipedia.

He’s not the first actor to have to prove they’re still among the living.

Sylvester Stallone recently posted on Instagram to deny false reports that he had passed. He shared a photo example of the hoax, with the caption, “Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy… Still punching!”
