The element of surprise is strong in this one.

Star Wars fans received a special treat at a preview of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Friday when Han Solo himself made a surprise appearance at a special screening.

A select group of Australian fans were given the opportunity to watch 10 minutes of footage from the upcoming film – the plot of which has been kept largely under wraps – at the IMAX Theatre at Sydney’s Darling Harbour, but they had no clue that Harrison Ford was also in attendance.

According to Australia’s Bmag, when the preview was over, “Ford stood up out of his seat. As if by magic, a spotlight hit the actor, who promised the audience that there was plenty more where that came from, and asked us to keep our lips sealed.”

“Let’s make a deal – don’t tell your friends what you’ve seen here today,” Ford apparently told the audience.

Those not lucky enough to have seen the sneak preview (and Han Solo in the flesh!) will just have to wait until Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters Dec. 18.
