Harrison Ford is sticking close to daughter Georgia’s side after opening up about her long-term battle with epilepsy.

The pair were spotted grabbing lunch together in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday. Ford, 73, wore black jeans and a button-down shirt, while Georgia, 25, sported high-waisted jeans, a white T-shirt and spring-y wedges.

The Star Wars star teared up as he talked about his daughter’s epilepsy struggle at the NYU Langone Medical Center’s Find a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES) event this week.

“I admire a lot of things about her,” Ford said of Georgia, whose mother was his second wife, late screenwriter Melissa Mathison. “I admire her perseverance, her talent, her strength. She’s my hero. I love her.”

He continued: “When you have a loved one who suffers from this disease, it can be devastating. You know how it affects their lives, their future, their opportunities and you want desperately to find mitigation. You want to find a way that they can live a comfortable and effective life.”

Ford shared that it took some time for Georgia to be properly diagnosed, but she was eventually prescribed the correct medication and therapy at NYU’s medical center. She has now been seizure-free for eight years.
