Gwyneth Paltrow's husband Brad Falchuk added a sweet detail from her career into his wedding vows
Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Oscar-winning role in Shakespeare in Love made a sweet comeback into her life during her wedding last fall.
The actress and Goop CEO, 46, appears on the latest cover of Variety, where she reveals a heartwarming detail about her wedding to Brad Falchuk, 47, in Sept. 2018. The two got married in an intimate wedding at her Hamptons home, and Paltrow says that Falchuk tied in her role as William Shakespeare’s muse from the 1998 movie into his vows.
“I hope this isn’t too personal, but in my husband’s wedding vows, he actually said it’s no coincidence that I played this muse, because that’s who I am to him, and his perception is that’s who I am in real life. It was really sweet,” she says.
Guests were first treated to a cocktail hour and string quartet before they were led to another tented area, a source told PEOPLE at the time.
Paltrow and Falchuk then exchanged vows under an archway decorated with greenery. After, attendees “cheered and clapped,” according to the source.
“The whole wedding seemed very intimate and romantic,” the source added. “The friends that attended are all people that love them. Throughout the reception, guests laughed and you could tell everyone had a wonderful time. It was truly a beautiful wedding.”
