Does this adorably emotional movie have what it takes to beat out Frozen?

Did you ever stop to wonder what’s really going on inside someone’s head?

The folks at Disney Pixar sure did, and they attempt to answer that question in Inside Out.

Turns out, they imagine the answer involves a little crew of talking emotions who operate oodles of switches and levers inside the mind’s control room.

Sounds crazy, but Inside Out makes it cute.

This first full trailer – released Wednesday in a post-Frozen world – features a family dinner discussion about a little girl’s first day of school. Instead of just getting the stilted conversation, viewers are treated to an inside look at how each member decides to dissect and react to the chat.

The lesson to be learned from this clip? Never press a tween girl for sensitive information.

Disney Pixar’s new flick comes out in July 2015 and features the voices of Diane Lane, Amy Poehler, Bill Hader and Mindy Kaling.
