The tale as old as time is getting a live-action reboot – and Emma Watson‘s set to star in it!

The Harry Potter actress will play Belle in the upcoming adaptation of Disney’s 1991 hit Beauty and the Beast, the studio announced Monday.

Beauty and the Beast is just the latest live interpretation on Disney’s popular animated works, following last year’s Maleficient (which was a play on Sleeping Beauty) and the forthcoming reboots of Cinderella and The Jungle Book.

The actress took to Facebook to share the good news with fans, writing of the movie: “It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There’. My six year old self is on the ceiling – heart bursting.”

Watson is rumored to be reuniting with Perks of Being a Wallflower author-turned-screenwriter Stephen Chbosky, whom Entertainment Weekly reported is adapting the musical.

Bill Condon (most recently of the The Fifth Estate) will direct, and production is expected to begin later this year.
