Nothing “Blurred” about this career trajectory.

Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski, who rose to fame as the sexy star of Robin Thicke‘s “Blurred Lines” video, is about to turn heads once again as the mistress of Ben Affleck‘s character in October’s Gone Girl.

Ratajkowski, who debuted her sexy Ocean Drive magazine cover in South Beach Sunday night, called Affleck and director David Fincher “really knowledgeable teachers.”

Of teaming with such big guns for her first major role, Ratajkowski, 23, says she wasn’t nervous: “I thought they wouldn’t have cast somebody that they didn’t have a little faith in, so that gave me the extra boost of confidence.” Affleck famously suggested Ratajkowski for the role after seeing the “Blurred Lines” video.

Ratajkowski was equally as enthusiastic about filming the highly anticipated Gillian Flynn adaptation, saying, “It was just a really fun experience to be in Missouri with a small crew, small team and really get to know each other.”

While the actress couldn’t reveal any details about the heavily guarded script, she did say, “people who have read the book will be very happy with the movie.”

Ratajkowski is now filming We Are Your Friends with Zac Efron. Creating chemistry with the actor was easy, she added, because, “we both like each other as human beings.”
