It’s been 10 years since Corbin Bleu sang and danced his way into fans’ hearts in High School Musical  and he’s still using his musical talents, this time on Broadway.

The 27-year-old actor sat down with PEOPLE Now to discuss what advice he’d give his younger self about the industry, and he had some wise words about integrity.

“It’s mainly about continuing to do things that remain true to your heart,” he said. “Don’t make any decisions or take any jobs either that are for a reason other than to stay true to you.”

Whether he knew it or not, it seems Bleu has taken the advice. He’s currently starring in the Broadway musical Holiday Inn, featuring the classic music of Irving Berlin, in New York City.

Some familiar faces  Zac Efron and Lucas Grabeel — even came by recently to support him.

@mrgrabeel and I saw @corbinbleu DANCE on AIR ala Fred Astaire last night,” 28-year-old Efron, who played Bleu’s best bud in HSM, captioned an Instagram pic of the trio.
