Carrie Fisher has a serious love/hate relationship with her iconic gold bikini from Return of the Jedi.

The Force Awakens star has long been critical of the skimpy getup, even warning Star Wars newcomer Daisy Ridley to avoid it at all costs. But that didn’t stop her from having some fun with Madame Tussauds London’s new Princess Leia wax figure, posed for posterity in the itsy bitsy metal bikini.

“Before & after,” Fisher captioned. In the photo, Fisher (and her bulldog Gary) sit beside the wax figures of Leia and Jabba the Hut, who holds the princess captive for a time in the film.

Madame Tussauds also shared the image, writing, “What an honour – Carrie Fisher (accompanied by her canine companion, Gary) visited our epic Star Wars experience yesterday where she came face-to-face with a figure of her iconic film character, Princess Leia.

The famous wax museum added, “Carrie’s likeness features in a scene recreating Jabba’s Throne Room, with the gargantuan gangster himself and his sadistic court jester, Salacious B. Crumb.”

Back in 1983, Fisher told PEOPLE about how difficult it was to wear the outfit during filming. “I started checking for any bounce or slip after takes,” she said. “It was, ‘CUT. Hey, how they doin’? The hooters in place?’ ”

And recently, in a dual interview with Interview Magazine, Fisher told Ridley not to settle for being a sex symbol. “You should fight for your outfit,” she warned. “Don’t be a slave like I was.”
