Dame Helen Mirren didn’t let a minor misstep stop her from stealing the show at Cannes’ Palais des Festivals on Wednesday night.

The 70-year-old fell climbing the stairs in her black-and-dark-blue-lace dress at the premiere of Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne’s The Unknown Girl.

Before the tumble, Mirren smiled brightly while twirling the dress’ full skirt in her high heels – showing off her cropped and slicked back haircut.

The Eye In The Sky actress is not the only star to lose her face-off with the Cannes stairs: Petra Nemcova also lost her footing on the red carpet, Tuesday.

The model, who was wearing a SAFiYAA Koyone lamé silver gown, laughed off the moment, however, and continued her evening at the Julieta premiere in style.
