Bradley Cooper shut down reports that Beyoncé will appear in a remake of A Star Is Born directed by and possibly costarring him.

“Just a rumor,” Cooper told E! News on Sunday night. “But with that said, I would be honored obviously with to work with her in any capacity.”

Page Six initially reported that Beyoncé was involved.

“Beyoncé is a go,” a source told Page Six.

The film follows an aspiring performer who crosses paths with an established star, as their fates begin to diverge. It would have been Beyoncé’s first live-action role since 2009’s Obsessed.

Sources also told Page Six the film wouldn’t be ready to shoot until the end of 2016 or January 2017.

The role in question was previously made famous by both Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.

Beyoncé, 34, was linked to the project when it was helmed by Clint Eastwood, before dropping out in October 2012 due to scheduling.

“For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible,” she said in a statement at the time to E! News.

But once the remake was revived under Cooper, 40, earlier this year, all eyes turned back to Beyoncé, according to Deadline.

A rep for Warner Bros. declined to comment.
