Blake Lively stumbled upon a total coincidence that tied her childhood love of The Little Mermaid with her upcoming film The Shallows.

The pregnant actress’ Throwback Thursday post completely blew everyone else’s vintage photos out of the water when she juxtaposed past and present photos of herself reclining on ocean rocks.

“There’s only one thing more terrifying than this…” Lively, 28, captioned a Shallows film still that preluded to an image of her as a kid.

And there’s even a seagull in both photos! Though Scuttle is an animated bird from the 1989 Disney classic, it totally counts.

In her upcoming Jaume Collet-Serra-directed movie, Lively plays Nancy, a young woman who decides to go surfing in an isolated area. But things take a turn for the deadly when she finds herself clinging to a giant rock yards from shore as a great white shark circles her in Australian waters.

Lively made another Little Mermaid connection recently during the Cannes Film Festival. Fans and the media claimed her glamorous Cannes fashions had been inspired by Disney princesses, but in fact Lively jokingly credited Ursula as her go-to style influence.
