Blake Lively may have just spilled the beans. In a sit-down with Jess Cagle, editorial director of PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly, Lively addressed the possibility of a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. “There’s a strong chance there might be a third,” Lively said during the latest episode of The Jess Cagle Interview. “The four of us are still best friends. To be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours.” “But it would have to be something that really made sense,” she went on. “If you wait this long to do a third movie, it needs to honor the story and the legacy.” At 16, the actress landed her first acting gig with Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in 2005, alongside costars Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn. Now, at 28, The Shallows star wonders how much her character Bridget would have changed since first putting on those trusty blue jeans. “You deal with different things [at this age],” she said. “So we wouldn’t be making a movie for 16-year-olds again. We’d be making a movie trusting that our audience grew up with us, and I think that would be really interesting to explore.” For more from Blake Lively, go to people.com/jesscagle The actresses have reunited before, as recently as earlier this year. Ferrera has also discussed the possibility of a third film, telling PEOPLE in 2015, “It’s actually very much in the works. There’s a fifth book, and what’s wonderful about it is, and the series to begin with, is that it’s really raw and honest about friendship and how hard it can be and how it changes as you grow up.” VIDEO: Blake Lively on The Shallows and Having Fun with Fashion Check out the full clip from The Jess Cagle Interview, above, in which Lively also discusses the beginning of her acting career and how her show choir past shaped her life.
