"I've practically looked into enrolling my kids in school in Waco," she said about relocating to the Texas city where her favorite series takes place
Free time is a distant memory for new mama Blake Lively. But when she does find an hour to spare, it’s safe to say she’ll spend it kicking back with her new favorite show.
The actress, 27, chatted about her latest TV obsession Fixer Upper at a luncheon for The Age of Adaline at Per Se, hosted by Allure editor in chief Linda Wells. And her addiction to HGTV’s home renovation hit practically has her moving on down to Texas.
“Oh my god … watching Fixer Upper. Chip and Joanna Gaines – what they do with the homes they renovate is just incredible,” Lively told PEOPLE.
“I’ve practically looked into enrolling my kids in school in Waco,” she joked about relocating to the Texas city where the show takes place.
And her hubby Ryan Reynolds is totally on board.
“Current goal: Move family to Waco. Infiltrate the lives of @TheMagnoliaMom and @chippergaines. Eat stuff, Build stuff. Smash stuff,” the actor, 38, Tweeted last month.
Well, mission accomplished! Lively and Reynolds have found new pals in the local entrepreneurs, the actress explained.
“Ryan and I have actually become friendly with Chip and Joanna, and they are just amazing,” she said.
“Joanna emailed me the other day to say she liked a watch she saw on Preserve, but it was a man’s watch, and did I think she could pull it off? I assured her she could and it would look great on her.”
Will the Gaines duo hook some sort of celebrity cult following with Fixer Upper? There’s a Scandal star hooked on the show, too.
