Benedict Cumberbatch already has a lot to look forward to in 2015.

The Imitation Game star, 38, has been nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award, and he also recently announced his engagement to theater director and actress Sophie Hunter, 36. On top of all of that, he’s back to filming his fan-favorite TV series Sherlock.

“My main focus is going to be on that, and then [awards season] is just sort of a wonderful burst of manic crazy fresh air in the midst of it all,” he told reporters at the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala on Saturday.

While he finds the acclaim he’s been receiving “very flattering,” he’s taking it all in stride.

“I’m geared up to have some fun!” he said of all the upcoming awards shows. “Any amount of award buzz or attention the film gets means that the people will engage with the story, so it means a lot for me.”

With all the excitement in his work life, Cumberbatch says wedding planning with his fiancée, who was by his side in Palm Springs, is on hold for now: “One thing at a time!”
